Get Involved
Join us in empowering Washington’s youth to become informed, engaged citizens.
Civic Education Washington depends on the involvement of passionate individuals, educators, donors, and community partners. Whether you’re looking to volunteer, contribute financially, or collaborate on a civic learning initiative, your support helps ensure students across our state have access to meaningful civic education.
Ways to Get Involved

Volunteer
Our organization relies on the support of many volunteers. Our state competitions depend on volunteers to serve as timers and judges. We also rely on civic leaders, including judges, academics, lawyers, elected officials, retired teachers, and others to serve as judges and as volunteers in the classroom.
If you're interested in volunteering as a judge or in the classroom, please email Karl Smith ([email protected]).
If you're interested in volunteering in other ways, please email Jessica Kelly ([email protected])
Donate
Your donations help support civics education in Washington State. We provide complimentary training and textbooks to teachers, put on a state competition, and assist teachers with classroom support. Your contributions support this important work, and all donations are tax deductible.
